My primary audience is male and female environmental enthusiasts between the ages of 18-22 that are looking for more sustainable ways to help the environment while finding a new hobby. They want to find an environmentally fun way to give back to the planet while promoting sustainability and recycling. They are concerned about the way climate change is changing the planet and how our resources continue to become more and more limited. My audience has likely explored other sustainable hobbies and interests in this environmental field in hopes of providing positive feedbacks to the earth. My image will showcase the positives of gardening and how we can sustainably transform the earth. It will showcase that even through one person gardening, it can have great impacts on the world and illustrate a change in the right direction.
Within my image, this accurately conveys to the audience the importance of gardening and its numerous benefits as well as its positive impacts on the environment as well. The flowers are a good representation of what you can physically grow in a garden, while the images reflected in the cut out of the flowers represent the underlining benefits this hobby possesses. These flowers spell out a world which accurately reflects the message I am trying to get across which conveys the importance of recycling and sustainability.
I first found an image of 6 mason jar pots that demonstrated an easy indoor garden. I then took out the original plants in the photo. I then took the custom photo tool and picked different flowers from the options tab. I then created my own patterns demonstrating the positive effects of gardening and put those as the flower's backgrounds. I then formed the flowers into a word to better convey my message.
I learned a lot of things about photoshop through this project. I had never used photoshop before so even learning to do filters, color changes, and other various techniques were all new for me. It allowed me to see pictures in a new light and allowed me to explore various changes to better convey a picture to my liking or to serve a new purpose. I liked the creativity and fun associated with photoshop as well. I also learned a lot about myself as well such as how much gardening has really benefitted mu life and how to continues to help my mental health in nonobvious ways.
I will continue to take the tutorials or examples slow so that I can better understand the program and give myself the opportunity to actually retain the information and techniques I am learning. For the next project, I will create a better original first draft so it will be easier to revise my later drafts overall creating an easier outline for my project.
